In a much anticipated return visit from our beloved, and recently retired minister, the Rev. Alec Craig will lead us on an examination
of the “isms” we live by. ” The isms are alive and well in the USA,” he tells us. ” Which ones are yours?”
Adult and youth programs begin at 10 am. In Adult Discussion, we’ll consider the Copyright Free World – “The traditional model of making profit by holding onto a copyright is gradually going stale” says one author. “I want to explore the possible benefits to authors beyond this system.”
After church we’ll be holding our monthly shared potluck. Bring a dish to share, or just a vigorous appetite!
We’ll also be joined at 2pm by the THINK homeschool group for an open tour of our fantastic Spirit of Life UU grounds, in a Nature of Spirit of Life hike, lead by former Brooker Creek Preserve volunteer, Terri Willingham. Join us to learn about the often subtle but always beautiful natural world of our classic sandhill property, where a rich diversity of flora and fauna thrive. Bring your cameras for a mini- nature photography 101 opportunity, too!
The Keystone Book Club also meets today, at 1pm, where the book of the month is “Turn Right at Machu Picchu: Rediscovering the Lost City One Step at a Time, ” by , Mark Adams.
