Rus Cooper-Dowda , a retired teacher and thought provoking writer and speaker, joins us to share her thoughts on International Women’s History Month.
Youth and adult programs begin at 10am. On this, our third Sunday, we’ll hold the Keystone Book Club discussion on our March read, ” The Swerve: How the World Became Modern, ” in which Author Stephen Greenblatt explores the story of how one manuscript, plucked from a thousand years of neglect, changed the course of human thought and made possible the world as we know it, proposing dangerous ideas such as that the universe functioned without the aid of gods, that religious fear was damaging to human life, and that matter was made up of very small particles in eternal motion, colliding and swerving in new directions. It is not necessary to have read the book, to join us to talk about how seemingly insignificant things can produce highly significant influences.
Coffee and conversation continue after service in the kitchen and parlor. This is also our 3rd Sunday Potluck – join us for a St. Paddy’s Day themed event!
