This Sunday,July 7,  join us at 11 am to hear the sermon, “Love in the Open” read by Diana Dechichio. Marriage Equality is in the forefront in the national headlines, right now, with the recent Supreme Court ruling on DOMA,  Shouldn’t we be displaying our Love in the
Open?

Youth and adult programs begin at 10 am.  In our adult Community Conversations discussions, we’ll be considering “Taking a Stand Against Violence.”   Recently actor Jim Carrey backed off plans to to promote the new “Kick-Ass 2,” in which he plays the bat-wielding Colonel Stars and Stripes. “I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence,” he wrote. “My apologies… to others involved with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart.” Is this kind of statement a sign of a greater, long overdue change of heart?
