We’ll consider “Lessons from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood” by Spirit of Life UU president, and local writer, Terri Willingham, and consider how we can create the peace and community we want to see, one kind word at a time.
Youth and adult programs begin at 10am. In our Community Conversations adult program, we’ll look at “World Changing Perspectives”. In The American Conservative, columnist Alan Jacobs made a thought provoking rant against phrases like “Technology is shifting our way of seeing the world”. “Pray tell, what is “the world”? “ he asks. “Seriously, I want to know what people mean by this. If “the world” has been changed completely, why does the silver maple outside my window still stand as it has for decades?” A bid for precision and perspective.
