Sunday Sermon August 4, 11AM: Justice in America

Artwork by Micah Bazant

Long time Spirit of Life UU member and lay leader LeAnn Kahl  leads us in a consideration of justice in America.  “Although we don’t always agree on the outcome,” she says, ” we still have one of the best justice systems in the world.” Join us to consider the idea of “justice” in our lives and communities.

In our adult Community Conversations program, at 10am,  join us for an interesting parenting discusison.  The essay “I Am Adam Lanza’s Mother” drew an enormous readership online and gave voice to the anxiety felt by parents who fear their emotionally troubled kids could become violent. Others have apologized for their children’s lesser actions, or inactions.  Are we morally responsible for our children, or for the conduct of others in our lives?
