Sunday Sermon September 8 11am: High Holidays

Spirit of Life UU lay leaders Diana Dechichio and Sue Eckstein help us celebrate the Jewish High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Youth and adult programs begin at 10am. In our adult Community Conversations group, we’ll look at how shifts in the words we use define our culture’s personality.  A UCLA analysis of words used over the past 200 years in American and British books concludes that our culture has shifted in parallel to the words we use and no longer use in literature. But some ask if that conclusion is believable – a nice opportunity to explore language and culture.
