Guest minister Rev. Rus Cooper-Dowd joins us Sunday morning to share the Gospel According to Mark Twain.
Youth and Adult programs begin at 10am. This Sunday, our adult discussion program is led by the Keystone Book Club, which we reviewing, Behind the Beautiful Forevers-Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity . Our first nonfiction selection of the new book club season, is by Pulitzer Prize-winner Katherine Boo, that tells the dramatic and sometimes heartbreaking story of families striving toward a better life in one of the twenty-first century’s great, unequal cities, Mumbai, and gives us an opportunity to consider life as others know it.
After service, join us for our monthly Potluck. Bring a dish or just chow down with us! All are welcome!
Anyone can join in the Keystone Book Club at any time. While having read the book of the month enriches the book club experience, our discussions of the topics and issues raised by the books we read can be appreciated by all and participation is welcome whether or not you’ve read the book.
