Sunday Service: Woodstock Revisited – Collective Effervescence

Rev. Alec Craig leads the service, “Woodstock Revisited: Collective Effervescence” at 11am at Spirit of Life UU on Sunday, March 9th.   How does “mob mentality” impact   groups, he asks? Does intentionality play a role in group functions?  We’ll find out together.

Youth and Adult programs begin at 10am.  In our Community Conversations adult discussion program, we’ll look at an interesting article in Mindshift by educator Jennifer Carey titled, “Is it Plagiarism or Collaboration? ”  Carey asks, “Should we ever stymie collaboration among our students? We live in a collaborative world. It is rare in a job, let alone life, that individuals work in complete isolation – with lack of assistance or contributions from anyone else. Perhaps as educators, it’s time to reassess how we want students to work.” We’ll consider, and discuss.
