We’ve got a full day of spiritual insight, reflection, and fellowship coming up this Sunday. At 11am, Rev. Don Rollins will share as his sermon, “Stories From Church.” Don will use stories from his evangelical days to talk about church and life, and how it all fits together.
Before the service, starting 10am, Youth programs will be held and the Keystone Book Club leads our third Sunday adult discussion program, this month with a look at the non-fiction travelogue, “The Emerald Mile: The Epic Story of the Fastest Ride in History Through the Heart of the Grand Canyon”, by Kevin Fedarko. “In the tradition of the Perfect Storm and Seabiscuit, the engrossing tale of the fastest boatride ever down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.” While having read the book of the month enriches the book club experience, our discussions of the topics and issues raised by the books we read can be appreciated by all and participation is welcome whether or not you’ve read the book.
Following the service, we’ll hold our Annual Meeting, a sacred time, when congregation members and friends are invited to take their place as the owners and stakeholders of our spiritual home for the important business of reviewing and voting on our budget, our 2014-15 Board of Trustees nominees and the opportunity to engage our quarter time minister, Rev. Don Rollins, for the next fiscal year. This is the business end of our lives together, that makes the spiritual and social justice aspects of our existence possible and we look forward to this time together to chart our future.
Potluck will be held immediately following the Annual Meeting. All are welcome!
