Sunday Service August 10 at 11am: What’s Your UU Elevator Speech?

Visiting minister, Rev. Rus Cooper Dowda leads us on a consideration of our faith and how to succinctly describe it.

The question, “Why are you a UU?” or, “Why Aren’t You Something Else?” might be cause for pause.  Is one better than the other? Do we need to be able
to summarize briefly for non-UUs why we made the spiritual choice we did?  And how might we do that?

At 10am, in our Community Conversations adult discussion program, we’ll consider the Empathy Mirror, and how to better see ourselves in others. Our youth program begins at 11:30, after the Story for All Ages portion of our service. This Sunday, we’ll continue our look at 1st Principle: We believe that each and every person is important.
