It’s time for our annual “Water Communion Ceremony”. Led by Bonnie Dassing, the Water Communion ceremony is a cherished part of our Unitarian Universalist heritage, marking a return to hearth, home and family.
“Water symbolizes life and renewal,” says Bonnie. ” Let’s come back after a summer of travels and renew our commitment to each other.” Everyone is invited to bring a little water representative of travels and experiences during the summer, to join our journeys together like many streams pouring into the river of our shared lives.
Our Community Conversations adult discussion program begins at 10am, with a look at the Anti-Privacy movement and its hidden ramifications – A recent Atlantic article tells the tale of a man who”Has Nothing to Hide—Not Even His Email Password”. We’ll consider the story, and what it can really mean when someone says they have nothing to hide.
Youth programs begin at 11:30, after the Story for All Ages in our service. We’ll be continuing our look at our Seven Principals and planning for our Youth video project.
