Sunday Service Nov 2: The Doable Thing – Part I

Guest minister, Rev Rus Cooper-Dowda, starts us off with the first of a two part sermon, The Doable Thing.  “There is so much scary and big in the world, it’s easy to fall into an “I can’t do everything” attitude, ” says Rev. Cooper-Dowda. ” But, according to that other speaker at Gettysburg long ago, we can all do something meaningful. Lincoln’s warm up act at that dedication believed in “TheDoable Thing,” that cannot be refused because you actually can accomplish it. How do we recognize “Doability” when we see it?  How to start? How to sustain that effort ?

Our Community Conversations adult discussion program begins at 10am, in the Kerwin Reading Room adjacent to the kitchen. This Sunday, we have an open topic session. Grab a cup of coffee and join us to share your thoughts and considerations about the things that move you.
