Sunday Service Nov 16: Focusing on What’s Important

Spirit of Life UU lay leader, Bonnie Dassing, leads the service, “Focusing on What’s Important” , at 11 am. The fast paced world we live in does not always allow us to step back and focus on what is important, says Bonnie.  Even when we can, which are  the “important” issues to focus on? What should be addressed and  what should we just let go?

Our Community Conversations adult discussion program begins at 10am, in the Kerwin Reading Room adjacent to the kitchen. The Keystone Book Club leads our third Sunday discussion, with a look at the book, “The Geography of Bliss: One Grump’s Search for the Happiest Places in the World,” by Eric Weiner, is “part foreign affairs discourse, part humor, and part twisted self-help guide.” You don’t have to have read the book to join in the discussion about happiness and how we find it worldwide, although it’s an enjoyable read and we hope you do.

At 11:30, in our Youth program, we’ll continue our exploration of UU Principles, with a look at our 6th Principle .

3rd Sundays are also our Potluck Sundays. Bring a dish to share or just join in!
