minister-murphyAt 11am, we’re joined by guest minister, the Rev. Bob Murphy, who will lead us on a consideration of “Climate Change, Spirituality and Ethics,” asking, “How should UU’s respond to climate change? There are many possibilities as we move into the year 2016.”

Rev. Murphy serves as minister to our nearby sister church, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tarpon Springs, and brings bring his unique perspective not only as the only religious leader who has ever received a National Sierra Club award for religious work, but also as an instrumental leader in developing the Green Sanctuary program in the 1990s, of which Spirit of Life UU is a proud participant.   As someone who has been active ingreen sanctuary environmental justice for decades, Rev. Murphy lends his voice and experience to this timely topic.

At 10am, prior to the service, in our Community Conversations adult discussion group, we’ll toast the old year and welcome the new, with some fresh brewed coffee and conversation!
