This Sunday, guest speaker Kathy Stevens, shares the sermon, “Music as Spirituality.”
Hymns are a typical part of a worship service, and can sometimes be taken for granted. But knowing the inspiration behind the creation of some of our beloved hymns adds new meaning and depth to the service. Kathy Stevens and the
Spirit of Life Unitarian Universalist choir – the Joyful Noisies! – will (re)introduce you to some of the music in the hymnal, Singing the Journey.
At 10am, join us in the Kerwin Reading Room adjacent to the kitchen for our weekly Community Conversations adult discussion program. Our topic this Sunday is, “In consideration of Work,” and we’ll look at what exponential technological change means for
the labor market and the future of work.
In our Youth Lifespan Religious Exploration program, starting after the Story for All Ages, around 11:30am, we’ll continue with ourUU Story and meet Universalist minister Olympia Brown: the first woman graduate of a regularly established theological school, and the first woman to achieve full ministerial standing recognized by a denomination.
Spirit of Life Unitarian Universalists is covenantal faith community located at 18412 Burrell Road in Odessa, FL that welcomes seekers from all spiritual, theological and philosophical backgrounds who wish to join in a free, rational and responsible search for truth and meaning in their lives.
Third Sundays are also our monthly potlucks. All are welcome! Join us!
