Join us Sunday, December 18 at 11 to hear guest minister Rev. Rus Cooper-Dowda share her thoughts in a sermon titled, “The ‘Beyond’ Part of “Bed, Bath & Beyond”, in consideration of all the other December Festivals of Lights that are not Hannukah and Christmas.
“They do not have junior varsity status worldwide just because they are celebrated more at other locations, ” says Rev. Cooper-Dowda. ” They do have common themes of light out of darkness – both figuratively and literally. Let “This Little Light of Yours” shine through more traditions than what you may have learned about already.”
Third Sundays are mark our Keystone Book Club meetup at 10am. Our December read is “The Japanese Lover“, by Isabel Allende – From New York Times and internationally bestselling author Isabel Allende, an exquisitely crafted love story and multigenerational epic that sweeps from San Francisco in the present-day to Poland and the United States during the Second World War.
Anyone can join in the Keystone Book Club at any time. While having read the book of the month enriches the book club experience, our discussions of the topics and issues raised by the books we read can be appreciated by all and participation is welcome whether or not you’ve read the book.
Youth programming begins at 11:30, after the Story for All Ages in the sermon. Join us after services for our monthly potluck.
