We are excited to have Mindy Simmons, a Unitarian Universalist singer and songwriter join us for a special service followed by an afternoon concert.
If you’ve never heard Mindy this is a Sunday not to be missed, and if you have heard her, here’s a great opportunity to hear her again! A frequent performer at the Southeast Unitarian Universalist Summer Institute (SUUSI) and General Assembly, and a regular at Florida Music Festivals, Mindy has been described as a performer who “combines quick wit and charm with a voice that moves flawlessly from satin smooth to gutsy, creating a memorable performance that feels like an evening with your best friend.”
Doors open at 10am , for coffee and conversation.Youth programs typically begin at 11:30am, after the story for all ages, although children may wish to stay in service to hear Mindy . After the service, everyone is encouraged to have lunch and then return to the Peace Chapel at 3pm for Mindy’s afternoon concert.
The concert costs $10 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12, and is free for children 4 and under.
