Spirit of Life UU founding member, Margie Hallmark, leads the service, “Don’t Let Anything Dull Your Sparkle”, starting at 11am.
” Although this may sound like somewhat of a “fluff” title, the topic of this talk is actually quite serious. It is about trauma. Most of us have heard of PTSD and associate it with major traumatic life events. But what about life’s minor traumas that we all tend to minimize? They can have long-lasting effects on us as well,” says Margie.
This talk is based on the book with the same name by Doreen Virtue. Although Doreen Virtue is best known as the “Angel Lady”, she also has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and this book is based on her work in that field.
