This Sunday, September 24 at 11am, Spirit of Life UU members Diana Dechichio and Sue Eckstein
lead the service, “Celebrating the Jewish High Holy Days.”
Rosh Hashanah is both serious and joyous. It is a personal, family and community holiday. It is a time for personal spiritual renewal and a time to participate in ancient forms of prayer. Rosh Hashanah begins the Ten Days of Awe that culminate on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, and is part of the most sacred holidays of the Jewish calendar. Sue & Diana will share with you some of the aspects of this High Holiday season.
Please join with them in celebration for a “sweet New Year”.
Prior to the service, at 10am, the Keystone Book Club meets to plan their fall reading schedule. After the service, at 12:30pm, there will be a meeting to strengthen our communications and publicity–all are welcome!
