At 11am Sunday, August 5, Rev. Rus Cooper-Dowda leads the sermon, “Just Do It: With Great Love and Bravery”.
“What happens when you thought you were the muscular Goliath,” she asks, “but, when you finally got out on the field you were only a boy named David with only a little sling? Do you leave to fight another day? Do you mostly dread unforeseen wardrobe malfunctions?Did the sneaker people get the slogan right after all?
“I think you begin your unexpectedly needed response with not being afraid to show you are afraid. Let’s gather and examine what it means to need, then tell and finally to accept help.”
