Sunday Service Notes for September 23: Jewish High Holy Days

On Sunday, September 23 at 11am, join us to consider the Jewish High Holy Days with Spirit of Life UU members,  Diana Dechichio and Sue Eckstein.

Rosh Hashanah is both serious and joyous. It is a personal, family and community holiday. It is a time for personal spiritual renewal and a time to participate in ancient forms of prayer. Rosh Hashanah begins the Ten Days of Awe that culminate on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. The words literally mean “head of the year” or New Year.
