Join us Sunday October 6 at 11am to celebrate the Jewish High Holy Days with Spirit of Life UU members, Diana Dechichio, Sue Eckstein and Dara Moore.
The fall Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah (New Year) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) are particularly sacred in the Jewish Calendar. Sukkot, also held in the fall, is a holiday celebrating the harvest. This year, the Gregorian and our church calendars bring them very closely together.
We will celebrate them all at once, beginning the service with the blowing of the shofar, and ending in our Sukkah on the patio. The children will make decorations for the Sukkah to
join with the ones from THINK, our rental homeschool group.
Please join us for this creative approach to Jewish celebrations.
